Are there age minimums in place when looking to buy a timeshare?

My friend's son, who is 19 signed a pro baseball contract and mentioned he wanted to buy a timeshare. Are there age limits to owning one? 18?21?

The norm at check in is 21 but they rarely check. As long as he has a CC at check in and does not break the room up or party all night long he should be OK.

Is he looking to buy or just rent one? I would think they would be a little more sticky on the owning part then the renting one.
