tjanse,
Welcome to TS4M's!
I think that Grandview, is Wyndham? I'm not a Wyndham owner, but there are quite a few Wyndham owners here that could give you some advice. I would move this post into the Wyndham forum, if I were certain that Wyndham is the point system that your'e referring to.........Angela
If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.
BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

Hi,
If this is Grandview then this is part of the Dailymanagement Resorts which is part of the Berkley group which sells RCI points.
You got a bad deal. I'd rescind immediately and look on ebay for a much better package at a much cheaper price.
Grandview is a good resort to own RCI points at since the maintenance fee/points ratio is very favorable but not at $5K for an EOY contract. You could realistically get something like this on ebay for around $500. The resort in TN could probably go for free on ebay or very cheap, just paying closing costs.
Follow the instructions on how to rescind and send everything back to them that they gave you as incentives.
I own two Dailymanagement accounts and both of those cost me less than half of what they charged you. Stick around here and ask any questions you might have. Welcome to the forum.

I agree, rescind. Do not buy anything you do not fully understand.
You may be better off to rent for a while.
Then study on this and other timeshare web sites to learn what ownership might
IMHO it is best to buy were you want to go as the exchange companies rules rules and timeshare points ownerships reservation rules can and are changing all of the time and usually NOT to the members benefit.
Are you and can you make arrangements 11 months to 12 months ahead which in most cases you need to do with a deeded floating week or a "Points type ownership" to get the high demand weeks?

There are only a few rules of thumb that (almost) always apply to timeshare purchasing:
1. Buy Resale - the money you save could send your first born to college
2. It is a LOT easier to buy a TS than to sell one, so choose ones you will be pretty sure to get use out of.
3. The right TS for you may be cheap or it may be expensive (who knows) - but the wrong TS for you will always be expensive.
4. Stop by here to learn the ins and outs and to learn how to get the most from your purchase.
5. Start modest - you can always add more later.Rick
