    I know someone who owns a piece of property where there was a leaking underground tank. The soil and groundwater are contaminated, no one will buy the property because of the contamination, and he doesn't want to continue paying for the cleanup.

    But you just gave me an idea. I'm going to have him quit claim the property over to you. After he records it, you have to accept it. You don't have any choice. It's a Quit Claim deed. Then you get to pay for it.

      Dear Mdurette,

      The resorts don't take back the weeks for one simply reason: They already have your money. Think about it, the timeshare owner have to pay the maintenance fee whether or not he/she use the timeshare. The resort has no economic reason to take the owner's wees.

      Most of the time the only real choice the timeshare owner have is to cancel the timeshare agreement.
