Has anyone donated a week of their TS to Timeshare for Vets? It looks like a great program, but I'd like some feedback on the process before I contact them.

Check to make sure the company actually does something for vets, and isn't just using that as a sales pitch... Far too many of these "charities" are just scams themselves.. You can request to see a form 990 (or search for it yourself) which will show you how much profit the charity is making. Some of these charities make a huge profit which is "paid" to employees and administrators and then only make a very small cash donation to the cause they claim to support.
Paying a 501C to take your timeshare may certainly be a viable option, but only after the timeshare owner has researched everything fully, and has run out of other options.
Also, be sure to visit this thread before doing anything...

Our vets have always been pretty well-off, and vacationed in nice places when not taking care of peoples' dogs and cats.RCI Member Since 24-Aug-1989/150-plus Exchanges***THE TIMESHARE GRIM REAPER~~~Exchanging/Searching/SW Florida/MO/AR/IA/Consumer Advocacy/Estate Planning/Sports/Boating/Fishing/Golf/Lake-living/Retirement****Sometimes ya just gotta be a dick

We used to go to Estes Park every June, and one of our vets had a place there.

Originally posted by PresleyRikki, it isn't something where you donate your ownership. It is donating one week so a vet can take a vacation.
Although, I do like face to face and have thought about just finding my own local vet to donate a vacation to.my travel website: Vacation-Times.org.
