It would benefit the TS companies if people considering buying TS on ebay to read stories such as yours. mgoorabian poses the possibility that you may be a mole working for the TS company. He does not make that claim, only questions the possibility.

One thing you can do when you are suspicious of a poster is click on their name, and look at the volume of posts. Shills are pretty obvious then.

Sometimes volume is not much. Numbers help in that regard, but proliferation should not be confused with truth, accuracy, knowledge, etc.

So just so I'm clear, I'm a possible "mole" for a TS company sent here toooooooo? It seems pretty clear that mgoorabian has been contacting/trying to contact this company and, lol, I don't see any G-17 info he's posted on here that a company could use as their 'smoking gun' to bring him and his world crumbling down .....I could be wrong though. All I asked was is there any new info since the last post....... since I'm looking into vacations/timeshare rentals on ebay and I'm new to this whole timeshare 'thing', I was/am curious. By the way, what is a "shill"?

I will update soon. What you are stating above is not correct. Plus I have no information to share regarding "TS rentals on ebay". My situation was regarding a TS purchase on ebay. I will be happy to share the info soon, it will be helpful to a lot of newbies and a good read for all the other TS owners on this site who have been so kind and helpful.

Well here's the update on my Ebay timeshare purchace. The TN company IA vacations aka redweeks4less had to refund all costs of the timeshare to me that I had purchased from Ebay. Shall we say they were not happy! I contacted my credit card co (cc) I had used to purchase the HGVC Hawaii timeshare and disputed the charges. (I would highly recoommend ONLY purchasing on Ebay using your CC, especially high cost items!) After many threating calls from the time share selling company, telling me they have lawyers just for people like me, blah blah blah, I told them to put up of shut up as I still had no deed for my paid in full timeshare from Ebay I had purchased in August 2011. During the cc dispute process the merchant gets to respond to the claim, then I was asked to respond again. For some reason I decieded to look on Ebay to see what else this company was selling. Well, guess what! There was "my timeshare" I had purchased and paid in full for in August 2011 (it was now Dec 2011, still without a deed, cc dispute still undeceided) up for sale on the day I had informed them I was disputing the charge. So before the dispute was resolved they were already selling what I paid in full for and never received a deed. I contacted Ebay and informed them of the companies many business names and the sham practices and rip offs by this company. THe next day the ad were closed by Ebay. It reappeared 2 more times during the dispute process. Each time I contacted Ebay and the auction was shut down, even with people actively bidding on it. Finally in mid January of 2011 my dispute was upheld by the cc company. I really wanted that timeshare, but I was so thankful I had paid in full by credit card and the charge was reversed, including interest charges, back to the original purschase date in August 2011. Lesson learned!

Sorry I never saw your post, hope this worked out for you. Don't know if you ever received your deed, but you or anyone else you can go online to the Hawaii office of reconveyance and look up on line if there is a recorded deed in your name. All deeds for all the islands are recorded in this one office. They will not provide info on a "pending" deed. If you do find your deed you can order a copy online for a small fee and they will email you a copy of the deed in about 24 hours.
HGVC corp. office was of no help, they listened, but no assistance.

I also bought a Bay Club from IA Vacations. They are a bunch of INEPT bunch of idiots there. Here is a little background. I purchased a Bay Club in June of 2011 from them alsoh. They were very quick to call me for payment as soon as I gave them name info. Would call 4 or 5 times a day asking if I could pay for the unit and closing costs. They sent me the paperwork and I sent it back via email and paid with CC. Went through all the hassels of mgoorabian also with when is it going to be transferred to my name and such. Finally got confirmation deed was recorded in feb 2012! Took them a full 8 months to finish the paperwork. Also I never got a copy of the deed.

Now I tried to enroll week into HGVC and found that they have messed up the deed. I sent them my name and my wife's name to be put on the title so that I can enroll the week into my HGVC account. Found out from HGVC that the deed was only in my name and my wifes name is not on it. Had to order one from the conveyance office. Low and behold the idiots only put the deed in my name. So here I am now paying to have the deed redone into both our names which is costing me another $300 in fees. I can't believe IA charges $400 for the transfer of a wrong deed. Just this week I got my deed back with the right names on it. Took a little over a year and 3 months and $300 extra dollars to get my unit into the right names.
