Sell My Timeshare Now is an upfront ad company
but their coverage and placement on the internet
could well make their upfront fees reasonable
if the seller has reasonable expectations
... not enough time for all the timeshares ®

      Suspect

Anyways, obviously they are still in business or they could not be doing business.

Maybe they just did not file their annual report with the State which I am not sure what that has to do with anything, although I am no expert on this. I am just saying that I have no complaints for them, I know they have been around for a couple of years and I am sure if there were people that had issues with them, they would be right here online complaining
Sell a timeshare now, LLC is very SUSPECT despite what Jacqueline has to say. Here is why:

      (1) Virtually NOTHING on the web for them, either by name OR phone number

      (2) No BBB profile.

      (3) Although Jacqueline states they have been in business for two years, their website was created February 15, 2012

      (4) Their website IP address is located in the NETHERLANDS

      (5) Although they supposedly are in the sale and rental of timeshares, you cannot view any rentals because that page is "under construction". If you want to search sales, you must give your contact information FIRST.

      (6) The address on their website is a VIRTUAL OFFICE

      (7) They have a different address listed on their LLC documents and the profile in Dun and Bradstreet. That address is a UPS STORE (maildrop). By the way, their website claims to be "Dun and Bradstreet accredited". As far as I know, DNB does not do this. Most of their verification comes by simply calling the company on the phone

      (8) As another pointed out, their LLC is not in compliance with the state of GA.

      (9) I've come across four different phone numbers for them - all have no presence on the web. One, taken from the chamber of commerce - 800 646-5996 appears to be a number if you want a "stripper".

      (10) There are three recommendations to Manta - all this month. Likely shills.

The timeshare industry is teeming with scammers. I can't say for sure that this is one of them but WHY would anyone want to do business with a company that has all of these concerns? Some new poster on this site stating she is a happy customer wouldn't be enough for me. Stick with a PROVEN, well established business that does not charge any upfront fees.

Beating a dead horse here but I had to post one more

So you really "checked them out" and STILL decided to use their services? A company that virtually didn't exist more than a month ago? One with a useless website now? one that the web shows they have done nothing they claim to do? one that SCREAMS scam. What did you see that isn't obvious to everyone else?

I think it is obvious now to all, YOU are a participant to this scam.

Sell A Timeshare Now scammed me $2200 commission and disappeared. Help!

I was scammed $2200 commission for a timeshare sales from Sell A Timeshare Now in Atlanta, GA in Sept. 2012. Carolynn Renolds called me from Sell A Timeshare Now LLC. She said she had found a buyer who will buy my timeshare for $15000. The buyer is financing the purchase and had approved. I was listing the timeshare for $3900 only. It sounds too good to be true. However, she sounds like she is a honest older lady. It didn't fit the profile of a scammer. They have a fairly good website with a few phone extensions in their office. That means this company is supposed to have at least 4 to 5 people. She asked me to wire them $2200 or 15% commission up front. However, after I paid them the money and signed the contract. She was disappeared and no voicemail and email reply for a few months. I had filed complaints to BBB and FBI online. The BBB tried to contact them but also hitting a wall. FBI may not even care about $2200. Is anyone having the same issue? If you had been successfully deal with Sell A Timeshare Now LLC or scammed by them, please let me know. You can send an email to me. Is there any way to catch this thief? Please email me at xtr8168@yahoo.com if you know anything about them.

Commissions are paid at the end of a sale, not at the beginning. You probably won't see your money ever again. Since you have a US address for them, you could call their local police and have them check it out.

It is wire fraud, so contact the FTC or the FBI white collar crime division.

I posted a scam alert about this group in April..
                        http://vacation-times.org/1/post/201...e-now-llc.html

I DO NOT recommend that victims post their personal or contact information in any public venue or share their contact information with anyone you do not know. Doing so simply makes you a target for additional con artists who will promise refunds, prosecution, class action lawsuits, etc in return for yet another "upfront fee". Report the crime to the proper agencies..

As a general rule, you can file complaints in several venues.

File a complaint with the applicable attorney generals. File with the state where you reside, the state where the timeshare resort is physically located, and the state where the scam company claims to be located. You can find contact information for all the US Attorneys General at http://naag.org.

If the company is registered with the local Better Business Bureau- file a complaint there as well. This won't gain anything for you, but will hopefully serve as a warning to others. I'm not a fan of the BBB's methods or business model- but it is still a popular source of information for many consumers.

If you are a victim of an internet based crime contact report it at http://www.ic3.gov.

If you are a victim of a telemarketing crime report it at http://fcc.gov

If you are a victim of mail fraud report it at https://postalinspectors.uspis.gov/f...complaint.aspx.

Timeshare scams can often fall into several different jurisdictions depending on how the con artists operate. I advocate taking the time to report the crime in all the applicable agencies.
