So is this good news or bad news?

Didn't they also just buy TPI which VRI was using for doing their exchanges with?

Who knows for sure if it will be good or bad, Good for II members IMO since I feel more exchanges with II but maybe less going to RCI on the Duel exchange resorts. Look at the History with Fairfeild (now Wyndham) when Cendent/RCI bought them. IMO Almost all there resorts got better but IMO some became gold crowns and were not worthy of it.

It looks like it is going full circle. VRI was part of II several years ago. My resort which I have owned for many years is a VRI resort. I actually did a couple exchanges through VRI when they were associated with II.

              Rci vs ii

I am a member of RCI and II. IMHO II has better exchanges at nicer locations. What interesting is I have a VRI location which is both II and RCI.
RCI takes lots of heat on this Forum. What's the feeling about II?

My VRI resort has been dual affiliated with both RCI and II for many years. I don't use RCI nor II for exchanges. I dropped them both and have used SFX exclusively for the past 15 years.
