I know one wildly obsessive crazy person who never forgets.

But how did we stray away from the Post Card Companies ?

My bad - lets see, where were we? Oh yeah. Now who wants to give me 2k plus recording and transfer fees to put there Marriot Ocean Walk Bronze week into my name? Anybody?

The problem with the PCC's is that they lure you with the promise of buying your timeshare, scare you to death, and then make you pay $$$ to get rid of your deed. These are the same lying bas****s that used to sell for the developers, just telling a new set of lies.

Yes, same as the legitimate industry. So, why do they need a law specifically to regulate them, when it was the legitimate industry which created the need for them?

If they keep up their end of the bargain, I can see how charging a hefty fee is the only way it would work. Rentals aren't getting squat, so if they get stuck with stuff they take over they would need funds to continue to be able to pay fees on them.

Either that or it would be a sorta-Ponzi scheme, paying fees (instead of new investors) out of new deals.

This is a realignment of an opinion to align it with other realigned opinions concerning timesharing.

As long as a Post Card Company actually does what they say they do, take over ownership of your timeshare and pay the maintenance fee, what's so bad about that/them?

Since the legitimate industry has not provided for the inevitable exit nearly all owners will want to make, and since there is such a glut of resale timeshares, and since most of them have a market value of zero, or less, it is actually very commendale of a company to be virtually the only way out.

What they charge, or what someone is willing to pay to get rid of an albatross (2. A source of frustration; an encumbrance), is between the two parties, whatever the market will bear.

Who else/where else/how else can you do get rid of one?
This is essentially what I've been saying for years. Before the Nazis descended over there and I was called all sorts of things for saying it.

Anyway, I don't charge $3500. For $600 admin/closing costs, plus any specific charge by your resort, I can make your paid up timeshare go away. There, I said it.
... not enough time for all the timeshares ®

I think it sounds more than reasonable. I think JLB should try it and report back.
