What happens if I add a new resort to an old request at II?

I have had a request in for Marriott in Marbella for almost a year. If I now add Playa to the request does the date of the request change to today?

I wouldn't mind staying at Playa, since it has just been given a wonderful review, but, no way can I give up my original request date.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Date stays from your first time as long as you add it and not cancel the search.

I have had that request going for so long that I am almost afraid to touch it. I needed reassurance that I wasn't going to screw up the request date if I added a resort.....

If you want to play it safe, call up and have the VC do it for you.

Also note that your exchange request for an international exchange will cost the same if you add a domestic exchange to the original request. You will still pay the international rate for that domestic exchange (but you stay in the front of the line).

Thanks guys....I will change my request tomorrow to include Playa. Hopefully, one or the other will come through.....
