  • Timeshare Liquidators

I was talking to the managment at one of our resorts and I asked if the local realtor was still handing resales. They said no, but said Bob and Sue Wilkinson Time Share Liquidators LLC out of Lost Wages is, and has sold around 40 at the resort.

    Any thoughts?

Are owners being referred to TL to pay a fee and have them sell the weeks on ebay or doing they go about it some other way. How much do owners have to pay?

Have you tried the free auctions at Timeshare Rentals Resales Timeshares for Sale Rent Vacation Condos yourself to try to dispose of your week? I doubt you will get much of a price, but you might get lucky and get a sale and it won't cost you anything.

          Here's how our conversation went:

Me: Is there any market for Spring Break ski weeks?

          Resort Asst. Mgr: (chuckle)

Me: Is (local reator) stil handling resales?

(We bought our first week there from him in 1992)

Her: No, he retired. . . . But, another company is doing pretty good; they'v sold about 40 weeks.

Me: Good. Pease email that info.

That's all I was told. Everything I've found about them is that they are a program selling RCI points. The claim is that they have bought up distressed weeks from HOAs, and are re-selling them as RCI points. Some "reviews" have said they "take" your week if you buy points from them. So, it sound more like getting in deeper than exiting.

I have not found an email for them. Or a website.

Timeshare Liquidators is the company from Las Vegas that has been reported to sell rci points packages for over inflated prices to unsuspecting marks in Las Vegas using high pressure techniques borrowed from developers using Nevada's loophole protection that does not allow buyers to rescind on resale. They sell time shares that aren't worth a $1 but charge $1000-$5000 or more.

Hope you haven't bought anything from them. There is also a discussion about Westgate doing the same thing.

Since you quoted me, I posted to get information about them, too. I don't anything about them, and have not pursued them.
