  • exchange with RCI, another co or rent

I found your board last week. I am relatively new to timesharing, having bought last year. I have a floating week 1-10 at the French Quarter on the strip in Branson, which I won't be able to use in 2007. Initially, I planned to exchange through RCI.

Given RCI's class action suit and increase in fees, would you recommend attempting to exchange through them; using another company or renting?

    Thanks.

I think the answer will depend largely on what you think you might want in exchange for it. If that is an off-season week I wouldn't set your sights too high. If you make a site contribution or get to have 15 or more posts here, you will have access to the Exchange Opportunities boards to get an idea of the kind of inventory we are finding online at both RCI and II. That doesn't guarantee that your week would be strong enough to trade for it, but at least you'll see what's out there. You might want to also check out DialAnExchange, they will give you anything you see online in their inventory in exchange for a unit of similar size, regardless of season. And, of course, you can always put in an 'ongoing search' for something you want with any exchange company, but whether you get it will depend on your trading power.

I was planning to visit Colorado the first two weeks of June or Texas in late July.
Since the beaches will be full, I was thinking about the Conroe area, San Antonio or Austin.
