Ask him if you are buying a deeded week---if not look elsewhere. There are many deals out there that can be had for little or nothing---check out Ebay prices.

I haven't been watching this resort too closely lately but it seems high to me based on what I was seeing about a year ago. Take Tony's advice and look at past and current sales for VVP on ebay. My old man memory says it should be about $1000-1200 plus closing and those closing costs you quoted are at the high end for sure.

That seems high compared to whats offered on Ebay. Ebay, redweek and myresortnetwork will have better deals than above.

Dunno if this is a factor with you, but I suspect VV at Parkway doesn't trade very well. Admittedly, I come in through Bluegreen so I have no idea what kind of TPUs is costs with RCI. But there's always a ton of availability there, and it's usually the cheapest Orlando resort through Extra Vacations, at least in terms of 2 BRs. I dunno why, because it gets pretty good reviews, but in my experience that kind of availability does not translate to good trader.

My old man memory says you oughta be able to find someone that would be willing to give that to you, or pay you a little to take it.

There's very little reason to pay money for a timeshare right now, especially in an area with a glut of resales.

At free it will still be expensive.

Try having 5 or 6 of those sitting around.

I think you can do better on ebay for sure.
A few of these have sold from $5 to around $750 on ebay.
Take your time and watch a few auctions.
This is a nice place to own your RCI points.
I own a unit there and have had great vacation values out of it.
The only negative is that you are blocked from trading into DVC because of the Orlando regional block.
Otherwise if you have no desire to go see Mickey then you will get great value out of this ownership.
