I have been offered to exchange my weeks trading power for points by my resort. My trading power for my resort is 20 and I am being offer 50,000 points for the exchange. Since I cannot see the Points side of RCI I cannot tell if this is a good trade. Could some of the members give me there thoughts on whether or not I should make this move.

Depends on how much they are charging you for the conversion and your maintenance fee/point ratio.
Most would say that a penny a point is a good ratio so $500 mf's for 50k points is decent.
Depending on The size units you need and the season s you travel 50k can be more than enough or barely so.
If you only need studios you can do well in. R ci points. Example is 28k for a Disney dvc off season studio.
I also have gotten nice 2 bedrooms in shoulder summer (may/August) for 42k to 48k for the week.
Hope that helps.

Conversion fees are usually the biggest reason that this kind of move is a bad idea. Many places try to charge you thousands of dollars for something that RCI charges very little to do. Why pay $3000 to convert to points when you could probably find a different unit at the same resort that is already a points unit for very little investment at all. If it's only $300, maybe it could be an ok idea. If you provide the resort and size and week or float period, along with the conversion charge, you will get more specific answers.

I think you will get more exchange options with 50k points than you will with 20 tpus. Will it be 1295 dollars worth of better? Not sure. I found a couple of low priced units like yours that are already converted to points on myresortnetwork for $500 to 700 plus closing. So any non-owner can buy the same thing you already own for the same price as what you are paying to convert. Only you can decide if that matters.
If you want RCI points there are plenty of options out there with more points at lower mf's.

Are your MF's $1397? I saw some ebay units like the one you describe with that MF.
If you are not using this unit anymore I'd get rid of it and buy into a cheaper MF/points ratio resort like Grandview or Vacation Village at Parkway.
No sense throwing good money after bad.
