Under New Daily Posts site why are there so many "exchange opportunities" listed first ?

I feel that the readers wants to hear and read more about the timeshare travel vacation industry.

Like...Problems at a timeshare vacation resort or how to make an exchange into a resort.

    This is my opinion only.

I believe the posts are listed in order of time posted, so you will see the new posts firsts. If you log on after one of our "sightings" people post (Lawren, Angela, bnoble, etc), you will see all their posts first.
I agree that the TS4M members should become more active in posting about other items of interest to timeshare owners.
New members who have less than the required minimum amount of posts won't even see the exchange postings yet. They will get the mistaken impression that this is not an active site.
I'd like to see more members become more active in posting.

Without the exchange opportunities postings we would probably never gotten exchanges to Sanibel Island and Marco Island. I really appreciate the work Lawren and others do and hope they keep it up.

This also was a bother to me when the changed site for came out - but you can view the posts the new way, it just takes an extra couple of clicks. Make sure you are under Forum tab, then click the sub-tab "Home (no exchange ops)". Viola!

The history of Ex Ops, Sightings, Trading Power Tests . . . that sort of sharing with others . . . goes back a long way, way more than ten years, back to the Dark Ages, and is something that is basic and valued to us really, really, really old TS veterans.

It was a trading power test in 1999 that put me on the right track TS-wise, after more than 10 years of being just another TS mushroom (kept in the dark and fed . . . .). Sightings were important, maybe more so in the Dark Ages when most could not see everything that was available, so that those who were kept blind had vision.

Nowadays, I would say the value of Ex Ops is that there are so few truly great deposits that one needs to act on them quickly, and the regular notifications save a lotta people the time it takes to search.

The quality and quantity of Ex Ops has deteriorated in direct proportion to the decline in the exchange companies, so that nowadays some things that were considered ordinary long ago, have become extraordinary.

I absolutely agree. The posting of exchange ops has been invaluable to me. I am one who always arrived too little, too late. The sightings have enabled me to maximize my timeshare ownership.

Ex-ops have enabled me to grab some excellent exchanges. We were able to snag the Houses of Summer Bay last year,as well as a Carriage Hills summer week, thanks to Lawren's diligent efforts to keep us ahead of the pack. I check every day to see what gems are available. My sincere thanks to Lawren and others who share their sightings.

I meant to mention that back in the Dark Ages, before everyone could see everything, for me Sightings were like mini Trading Power Tests. I was interested in seeing if I could see everything the top traders could see. I could.
