I used to use sky auction but ther surcharges got way out of hand. They now charge if you go on weekends or on certain dates and ther per person surcharge is now $195 for just about everything. There cruise are the worst you can do better on the cruise line sites.

      SkyAuction Experiences

I've had great success using SkyAction for cruises. Here are my disclaimers:

You must carefully read the entire auction. There are port charges & other fees in the description beyond the bid price.

Skyauction does not send the cruise tickets until very close to the travel date.

The same cruise will often be offered in a new auction once a current auction closes. Do not get caught in a bidding war just because the auction is closing soon.

Just came back last Sunday from a Skyauction trip to Maui. Everything was perfect.

I needed extra nights for our trip to Morritts Grand this December and wanted to experience 7 mile beach, I was able to get 6 nights at the Marriott Courtyard for about 40-50% cheaper than anywhere else even with the added fees.

I should add that I was very frustrated with sky auctions and posted my concerns on TUG since it took over 30 days till I received a confirmation for the nughts I wanted. Everyone on TUG said not to worry and they were sometimes slow in confirming but they all said that Sky Auctions always came through for them.

I can let everyone know how this worked out when I return in mid December.

I bought hotel rooms at Harveys in Lake Tahoe during the last weekend of Hot August NIghts. The rooms on Harveys website were $265.00 for Friday and 3 hundred something for Sat.....both rooms cost me each $264.00 for both nites. I saved 6 hundred + dollars! I am stoked!

Skyauction is another outlet for RCI rental weeks. But they do deliver. Watch those extra fees, though, they add up.

Anyone had experience with Skyauction airline tickets? Do you end up with multiple legs and red eye flights?

For cruises, try the cruise discounters on the TS4MS links page. I have seen some good deals on SkyAuction on European cruises, however.

I have gotten some good deals on air to Europe, especially on things like extended returns, but you do really have to watch the add-ons.

I've gotten some great deals to South America and to Europe, know what the going rate is and compare to what you're bidding and all their add ons, do the math. I've never gotten weird routing.
