when I was ready to stop going, it was going to be really hard to get rid of them.

I think one of the reasons the Disney timeshare has a better rep than many (possibly not one of the more important ones, though) is that their ownerships have an "expiration date," when the ownership reverts to Disney. I don't really want that sort of expiration date, but it'd be nice if there was an option of returning it to the corporation after twenty years, and I think it's outrageous that a TS ownership can suck someone's estate dry. Once you're dead, you clearly can't be using it, so the contract should end. I don't expect better of TS companies; the fact that the courts support the TS systems in that situation is what I find so disgusting.

Let's say that I have 100 cars to sell. Ninety of them (90%) are pure crap, guaranteed to drive any owner up the wall and will cause them to give the car away if necessary just to be rid of it. Ten of the cars (10%) are gems, absolute treasures to own and drive.

I sell all 100 cars. Five years later 12 of those vehicles are still owned by the people I sold them to - all 10 buyers of the gems are still on board, plus two buyers of the crap cars who haven't been able to offload the vehicles, but would if they could find a taker.

Now I do an owner satisfaction survey and - guess what - 83% of my owners are satisfied with their purchases!!!!
