Thought a few of you might get a laugh out of this press release which appears to be issued by GeoHoliday. http://www.digitaljournal.com/pr/1421381
These type of crafted documents are released continuously by resale scam operators, where the published content includes the heavy use of keywords and search links to connect the company's name with target terms such as scam, fraud, complaint, etc. The hope from the SEO geeks is that the crafted press releases will show up in search engine results and help push down other results. In other words, the company issuing the press release wants to try and replace search results where consumers are filing complaints claiming the company was involved with fraud- with new search results showing the company talking about "protecting" consumers from fraud.
This is the first time I can remember a developer blatantly using the same tactic, but with the "monkey see monkey do" attitudes of developers- I'll bet we are going to see this again!
