    To be fair, before all the changes in timesharing that have devastated both the resale and rental markets in many places, no one thought about exit plans because you could sell or rent your week. RCI's changes have hurt some parts of the timeshare world more than others. Some weeks out there are still not a problem to sell or rent, but many others are. Some HOA's take deedbacks, but many do not, and that number is likely to increase.

    Jim used to get good trades with RCI to the area he liked to go to, SW Florida, but then with RCI rentals to the public and points, those trades dried up, so he bought a vacation property there and no longer needed his weeks to exchange. There should be a better way for him to dispose of his weeks.
