  • Rent at AuLani?

A friend wants to rent a unit at Aulani in February. Any suggestions where she should look? Do owners rent directly?
    All info greatly appreciated, Thanks!

If you're looking to book now for Feb 2014, you're within every DVC owner's 7 month booking window (the owner's home resort doesn't matter), so you can find the cheapest points and see if the owner can look into availability at Aulani for your desired dates Feb. I like MouseOwners if you want to rent directly or dvcrequest.com if you want to cast a wider, albeit more expensive, net.

I am not yet a DVC member so I cannot look up availability for you -- sorry!

But if you want to let me know the unit size, preferred view, and dates of travel, I can tell you how many points your friend would need to rent.

Mouseowners.com has a rental board, which I highly recommend. There are also brokers who act as middlemen and they do take a piece of the cash prize.

I paid $300. for one night in a studio, booked by an owner. It would have been about $500. for a standard hotel room via the Disney website.

Booking thru an owner or thru rental service is the only way I know of to save off Disney' rack rates for their resort rooms. I guess unless Disney is offering a promo like AP or DVC discount.
