First was a closeout sale from the developer at BIS-Duck, then a private sale at Aquamarine Villas from a Tug ad, then Century 21/Tri gave us a pink week in the Poconos, then another Aqua from Syed at advantagevacation.com, Syed is very helpful and easy to work with, then two in Australia for RCI points from Jerry at austimeshare.com, Jerry is top flight as well.

      Admitted timeshareaholic!!!!

We were fortunate to have resisted for years all the developers pitches and always said NO.....just could not understand that if something was so great and cost so much that one had to buy it on the spot.

So after one place we liked in Palm Springs we searched on-line and found out about re-sales and eventually found TUG. We bought our first two on special 2 for 1 resale on-line from Holiday Group. And after that we have purchased a total of 17 timeshares and have sold several as we adjusted our portfolio to better suit our taste and budget.

Timesharing is the best.....we really do not like hotels unless we have to do it and then we try to get suite hotels or upgraded rooms for more space. And we really plan and enjoy our vacations.

My first purchase was an RCI Points resort on Bidshares. (Am I the only one here who has actually bought something on Bidshares???) Then, I bought a Disney vacation Club contract from a FSBO ad, then three resales from Clark Kessel of Redden Realty (great guy to work with), then another unit (a HOA foreclosure) at my first resort.

At this point we have only purchased one (FF points unit) from Holiday Group. Waiting for transaction to be completed so we can get our feet wet. If it works out as expected we will be looking for more.

Bought our first and only from eBay (FF Glade converted fixed week) after bidding unsuccessfully on several. Got bonus points with it, too, to play around and learn with this year!

Our first was from the developer.

Another given to us from a family member. That one was no longer worth it though.

And we are in the process of closing on one from an ad in TST.

First was purchased from a developer. Two from the resort resale office, 4 from other resalers, 1 from private party, and 1 from Ebay.
                Is it vacation time yet?

Ok, so this is a resale, and not a developer sale? How much did you pay? If you are asking us whether you got a reasonable deal, we will need more information.

                        working on TS #2

I bought my first by putting in a low bid on eBay. I won the auction and my husband was furious. But in only 1 year, he's become a real convert. Although we're about to take our first exchange, we've now been to several resorts through RCI extra vacations, and promotions. I've never considered buying directly from the developer. The week I have also qualifies for bonus weeks through SFX so I'm getting lots of mileage from that first week!

I'm waiting to close on my second, also bought on eBay. Hopefully it wil be as successful as the first one was.

1st was HGVC Seaworld developer, 2nd was Krystal Cancun developer (stupid me!), 3rd was HGVC from resale (Mandie's a sweetie) at resort, 4th was HGVC eBay (real cheap), and 5th was HGVC private sale. Now that I have found SFX, I gotta retire to use all the weeks & bonus weeks! Dang!!!
