Was on the RCI website and was looking at the weeks that they have on sale for Orando. Is this the total price you pay for the week? Do you have to deposit a week for this price and what other fees are add-ons that make it not so special? Do you have to pay the mainenance fees for this also? I mean 299.00 for a 1 bedrooom for a week is great.

If you are looking in Last Call or Extra Vacations, all you need to pay is the price listed, that's the total for the week. If there are additional fees such as All Inclusive or 'recreation fees' and the like, they will be listed under 'additional information' in the resort description when you click on it.Originally posted by ladydi -
Oh yeah its a great bargain....why buy when you can rent for less than the maintenance fees.....if our family could travel at the last minute then we would be off on vacation at timeshares all the time using these rentals.

one caveat
if you have to call a VC to book the resort through these promotions you will end up being charged in addition to the posted costs a service charge/tax that will increase the price
if you can book it online, they do not seem to have the software capability at the moment to charge the "taxes" for the different locales in which the timeshares may be located
they say this is in the works....so enjoy the online posted costs while we can by booking ONLINE when possible
by the way the prices posted as being 30% off are often the same price that they post for the extra vacation on a regular basis ( the regular price is of course set by RCI and who would not want save 30% ......up the price and throw in a discount that is "regularly" available what a marketing strategy )
