We were at a movie theater in Tampa Bay yesterday and salespeople were selling their wares....it was hideous the lies they were telling. Wanted to go over and tell the truth, but DH stopped me...probably a good thing.

Only once did I step in. We were at our home resort, Summer Bay Las Vegas, several years ago. We were in the clubhouse building and we overheard the salesman talking to a young couple, who were probably on their honeymoon. He was saying something like "if you were a real man, you would give your wife this opportunity to be happy for the rest of her life" or some crap like that. I don't even know what they were charging at the time, but when the salesman went to get a golf cart to take them around, I approached them and said "I just bought the same unit he is looking to sell you off Ebay for $124. You can have the same exact thing, don't buy it here." And I mentioned TUG. I don't know what happened to them after that, but I really hope they did not buy.Jacki

I wouldn't argue direct with a salesperson. If I saw an opportunity like jackio describes, I'd probably say something then.
And if I were wandering a mall or something and there were TS salespeople hand someone a flyer, I might start up a conversation with them and give them some info.
What I'd like to do is stand right near some of those guys and, whenever someone wandered in their direction, loudly say to whoever's with me, "Why in the world do people buy those things for thousands when you can get the same thing on the internet for practically nothing?" But I probably never will.
To be honest, outside of a bunch of sales people with their targets out by the lazy river at Big Cedar, I've never seen TS salespeople doing their thing out in public. I don't know if I'm oblivious or just haven't happened on any. The first is probably more likely.

There was a time where I would tactfully call bullshit on something like this. Not so much anymore. The reason why is the sales staff have the ability to keep on with their pitch after your brief , sour grape looking attempt to expose the truth.
Meeting people at the pool, or where ever, after they have bought a time share, and then telling them they messed up, doesn't go over very well with most people either. The last happy idiot actually was telling me what a deal he made purchasing a factional for over $120,000. I saw this same deal else where for $5000.
