  • Vacation village at parkway timeshare issues

    Hi

As an non US resident if i ignore collection what will be my consequences?
I am looking for an lawyer that can cancel my contract with this timeshare because all the promises that they gave my and the high pressure presentation that they give me i have fall in the game and now none what they told me is true.

They told me i can use it the whole year without black dates, that i can rent it over and all those crab and none was true.

What do you think about the company's that claim that they can cancel my contract? and if i stop pay the fee seeing that my bank and all those credit are none US. Also that i not planing to make any loan.

    Where do you live?
If you don't need credit in the USA what can they really do to you?
You just won't be able to buy another timeshare. LOL

In your other thread, your concern was that you would not be allowed into the US if you had a bad debt. I thought we answered that, linking to discussions in Immigration and Naturalization forums.

Do you have additional concerns such that you want to get out of it by mutual agreement, which is unlikely to happen?

Do not get involved with any company that offers to take your timeshare off your hands. Eventually it will cost you money and you will still have your timeshare.

I think you are looking for legal advice that most of us can not give you. How it will hurt your credit we don't know. The fact the timeshare made promises to you that aren't true, is the way it is with most timeshare companies.

Sorry, but I really don't think anyone here is able to help you.

Everyone that buys a timeshare retail, through the regular tour and one-time-offer method, gets lied to. But that is an accepted business practice, especially in Florida, where Pam Bondi is not concerned about the scam artists in the legitimate industry.

So, being lied to and under-performance of your timeshare is not grounds.

Do not pay anyone upfront to take your week, sell your week, or for anything else.

We have discussed attorneys working in this field. The only one anyone on this site would feel confident in has his own board here:

              http://www.timeshareforums.com/forum...ction-Attorney

I have talked with him a few times, so understand how he goes about it, but have not used him to get rid of ours.

Heed the warnings. There is no easy way out. 99.99999999% of those claiming to be able to help you will only take your money.

Come to think of it, be most wary of those claiming to be able to help you. Anyone who can actually help you probably will not be saying they can.

It's just the way it is.

Have you contacted the resort, or whoever you bought from, and what did they say?

I do not want to promote a law firm, or any business, in violation of the rules of this website, but I have google-stumbled onto one in just the neck o' the woods you need one in. They have an A+ BBB rating and no negative reviews. In this day and age, that in itself is unusual.

So, google "defenses to enforcing a timeshare contract". It's not Finn Law Group, which those here have discussed before and are dubious toward.

                  It includes this:

Credit protection: Validation letters are issued pursuant to 15 USC 1681 demanding neutral reporting of any debt that you owe in association with the timeshare pending full resolution of the dispute.
