How many would be in your party? Any objection to a private residence? Judging from Homeaway TV commercials, they seem to be all the rage, and Orlando has lots of them.

Back in the day we traded into 3-bedroom units in Orlando quite a lot. We started our timesharing there when OLCC was one village and Wastegate was two buildings, a tent, and a lot of mud.

Places have military discounts. Oh, wow! Have you looked at Armed Forces Vacation Club? RCI inventory dirt cheap.

There will be approximately, eight in the party. The family stayed in a private residence in Orlando, well just outside of Orlando in Kissimmee, I think.

That's where our friends and their extended fam stayed, with their dog, in a private residence with a pool last month, for $600-ish/week.

sounds like you're still just renting "points..." why not just rent for the dates/locations you want? Renting points doesn't guarantee you the weeks you want to reserve. And this doesn't seem like much of a bargain to me... BG owners, what say you?

The Fountains is a beautiful resort but you can get it from RCI for less than half those prices.
I know if an owner rents their points they'd need to rent at these prices to recoup their MF's,
but Orlando is certainly not the place I'd pay top dollar for unless it was a holiday or staying on-site Disney proper.
