In Nov 2015 the membership was advised that Intrawest Resort Holdings Inc. had entered into a definitive agreement to sell the Intrawest Resort Club Group to Diamond Resorts International for $85 million. This purchase is made up of assets owned by Intrawest Resort Club Group. None of the assets are owned by Club Members and therefore did not require any Member consultation or approval. This transaction also includes the management contract for Club Intrawest pending Board approval. The Club Intrawest Board of Directors, which is elected by all the Members and represents the interests and opinions of the broader Membership, will vote on the transfer of the management contract.
The sale was completed at the end of January 2016 after the only two "independent" board members voted to allow the sale of the management contract. Since that time there has been no transparency regarding the future of Club Intrawest.
