Recently a good friend bought a membership into a Mexican vacation club and traded in their rtu Mexican ts, that they did buy resale, for more than they paid. They came over to have the rtu ownership change notarized and let me read the deal. It all looked legit. When the old rtu is transferred out of their name I might actually believe they got a decent deal.
I find people who have never heard about timeshares are usually either interested in hearing how resale is cheaper, or not interested in timeshares at all.

The people who don't want to hear about resale are usually those who have already made an expensive developer purchase. I have always assumed that is because people have a hard time admitting they have paid much more than possible for something.
