Here is the story that RedWeek posted this week about rentals and resales this year. They are up and the author (Jeff Weir) also wrote that the resale market tracks consumer confidence in the US economy.
The prime locations seem to be selling the best in the re-sale market and renting by the owners too. I have noticed that they are asking more for rentals this year because I track a few timeshares we own just out of curiosity. You do not have to be a paid member to read it as I am not but I get their emails.
Have a look what locations they name and what resorts. They are not all the big developers only but smaller resorts too but mostly in prime locations.
