Well, here we go again, after a lull. The current projected path of Tropical Storm / probably hurricane Ernesto takes it right up the east coast from Key West to Virginia Beach just before the Labor Day holiday!

In Oct. 2004, we had to divert from Plantation Beach Club to Orlando due to Jeanne & another hurricane; Oct. 2005 we were Marco Island and then Stuart Fl, leaving Sat before Wilma crossed both areas on Tuesday; Cancun Jan 2006 with only 40% open after Wilma; Now-We're leaving Illinois for Dayton Beach 9/3 for a week----MAYBE! And then plans for W. Palm Beach 10/21-11/4. Think I'm going to have to learn to like the Baja Peninsula!Give me a place with 4 S's: Sun, sand, surf, & suds-Dale (from Illinois)

Just a thought for you folks in or arriving in Florida. The banks will normally empty their ATM cash machines at least a couple of days ahead of a hurricane. Last year, the banks in Houston emptied their ATM machines 4 days before hurricane Rita was supposed to land.
Many people were caught short of cash. Please prepare if you are in Florida.
