  • Redweek still viable?

Just wondering what your current feelings are about Redweek. I have a timeshare that I'm trying to sell...and I am considering Redweek. Although I have used them successfully in the past, their new pricing structure is higher than I think it should be. I have noticed a lot fewer listings lately...and I get a lot fewer emails announcing new listings at the resorts I am interested in.

Does anyone have any recent experience with Redweek?

    Thanks,

    Steve

It will cost you $50 for a one year listing, but it is a worthwhile expense. I have had good luck with redweek. I also have had about the same luck for free with www.vacationtimesharerentals.com There are for sale listings there, even though the site name is misleading.

Looks like www.vacationtimesharerentals.com is not free any more. Not for rentals, anyway.

      Or am I missing something?

Does look like they did away with the free listing announcement that used to be in the top right corner of their banner. It's only disappeared this week.
... not enough time for all the timeshares ®

I recently sold a Marriott week on Redweek...I actually could have sold it 3 times - I had 3 offers that met my price in 4 weeks,,,plus 4 more email inquiry's.....I know $50 is a lot but it was worth it....

Does anyone know what tey charge for rentals?
          I hope NOT another $50!

Redweek charges $19.99 for a TS rental ad that runs 6 months. I think you might also have to have paid the normal membership fee. MyResortNetwork charges $19.95 for a TS rental that runs till the check in date (maybe max 1 year???). I have made 5 rentals since June on Redweek. Well worth the cost.

My experience over the last several years is that the folks looking for my Utah ski weeks at myresortnetwork are ready to book and have bigger budgets.

I have done many rentals on redweek, too, but there are a greater percentage there still looking and not booking.

I have had good luck with redweek, but do not know if they are the best or if any one site could be considered the best. I see them advertising on billboards around Orlando....

Redweek has been good in the past......I just went to take a look at several resorts that I am interested in and there is a real lack of inventory there...the least I have seen. That cannot be good news for any potential buyer that has to pay to see any listings. It looks like they have priced themselves out of the market to me.
