Timesharesonly.com is the one that advertises all the time on cable TV. They also ask for an arm and a leg for unreal prices. Be afraid...be very afraid.
How did you guys find these websites? I've never heard of them.

I have been dealing with one of the real estate agents on several timeshares listed on the site. I have found that many listings are old -- either the unit already has been sold or the seller has changed their mind -- but the listing is still on the site. Also, on the timeshares that I am interested in, it appears that the prices are grossly inflated. I will make a reasonable offer and see how the sellers respond. Also, fyi -- all communications must go through the agent -- I don't get to talk to the seller about the unit.
Remember a while back Klynn posted about how her offer to purchase was accepted then it turned out "not really" accepted.

We are supposedly buying a week from them. We have not heard much for about a month. Bobbie D. is our salesperson, we are buying a Shearwater. I have no idea where we are in the process. Very frustrating.
The company charges a lot to list the unit, so the seller is getting ripped off. Then they tack $1K onto the price for the buyer. I told them what I am willing to pay, including the commission. If I had known their closing costs were so HIGH, I would have offered less. I think we are paying $825 in costs, including title insurance. That is ridiculous. We still have to pay PAHIO $250, that hasn't even been discussed yet. This may close by the end of next year.
Have they charged your the agreed apon downpayment and sent you paperwork to sign? Or is it a only verbal acceptance?
Bobby D is a friendly lady but I would suggest that you call and find out were you are in the process.

Bruce: They have only charged us $500 for the fee. We signed paperwork via fax. I have not paid any more than that. Of course, I am worried a little. I need to call and see when/where to send the cashier's check for the week.
