Its sad it comes to this but resorts just turn their backs on their owners without even trying to help so what is left but owners finding other ways.

It's not the resort's responsibility.

This company will collect $3000- to $4000 to take your timeshare off your hands, they will not pay you , you will pay them.

What I guess I'm wondering is is why is there a problem with using TR if they get rid of my timeshare? It seems on the up and up...?
I'm open to trying to sell it via other means but at this point I don't want to spend any more money on re-sell sites ($1100+ now).
As long as it's gone that's all I want. It seems like it's possible to make some $$ off of it, but at this point, waiting is costing me $$ too

... And if you offered to give it away for free and then even pay the closing costs yourself, you'd be "out" only about $300 --- instead of paying ten times that amount to Timeshare "Relief".
In my book, $3k is pretty expensive "relief" indeed...

Try posting it here. In fact you can offer to take care of the closing costs too....that would still be much less than the rip off timeshare relief. Don't fall for their scam.

Tried ebay before on a $1; had it there for a few days but maybe I should leave it there longer? Don't like the listing fees, they add up. I'll try bidshares, because it looks like it's free. I have problems with ebay because I get buried in the pile. Bidshares might work because it has search terms. Not new to the net but not a wiz either. But the posts on this forum about it look good.

Now the last thing I want to do is give them $$ to take it from me. After all, I paid quite a lot of money for my timeshare and don't like the idea of losing value.
The reason I came onto Timeshare Relief is because I've been reading a lot about resale companies and how many of them are now under investigation for taking people's money to post a sales listing and then not having a buyer show up.

I was curious to know if this company was also one of those transfer companies that claim the deal went through but then doesn't. I've seen a couple sites talk about a company that you pay money to, similar to Timeshare Relief, and then they take your money but leave you with all the maintenance fees. I just don't want to give them any money and still have my timeshare, and then also have to pay the money to sue.

I'm planning on attending a consultation at some point; I'm just at a loss because this is taking more time and effort than I feel it should, and I'm not starting to see a loss on my investment. Just want to be sure if I lose my timeshare and money I'm not going to get a bill in a few months.

Colin, one thing you have to accept is that you have lost a bundle of money the day the recision period ended. The only thing we can do for you is help you from losing a lot more.

Come on. Your IP address is in Torrance, California; Timeshare Relief is in Torrance, California. I, for one, feel that TR serves a purpose and is probably the 'best' of the PCCs. I've met your bosses and they're great people, but the people who find this forum are not the people who will be your customers. You are denigrating Timeshare Relief by posting your BS here. If you feel that way, it's because you have a reason to feel that way. We don't like liars here, we're biased against them. You can back-pedal all you want, doesn't change anything. Everyone reading your posts should be advised that there are too many coincidences to lend any credence to your statements.
