To prove that they can plan a week ahead, last night without my involvement everyone got together and planned the week. They want golf on Tuesday (which I have already switched to).

They have also decided that everyone is going to Disney, including the guys, who normally don't, and me, who wouldn't for free Christmas week.

So, when they all go to Disney perhaps I will play a second round of golf.

And as for opening my mouth about anything else, I don't plan on doing that, even if what is being planned is stupid.

Since everyone is now going to Disney, do you think they will all go on timeshare tours to get passes, or just spring for the seventy bucks each?

I think the Tuesday gold compromise seems like a good solution. Hopefully you'll enjoy your time there!

Jim, please pardon me, but I just had to laugh out loud at your post. I can just see you "interacting" with the family about all this "planning." What a hoot!

What I want to say is that you have alienated your neighbors and you have alienated your family, so it's a good thing you have your timeshare friends

Revenge is sweet. Send them all to Westgate for a tour.

As our family's "tour guide" I have received my share of flak over the years- usually that it's another "Mommy vacation" - which means too much to do. Of course, if I didn't plan anything, it would be "I'm bored" or "waht's there to do?" We usually travel with 3 generations so planning trips that keeps everyone happy has sometimes been challenging; anytime I get a complaint I kindly offer to let the complainer take charge of trip planning from now on. Trust me, no one has taken me up on the offer

I would go no matter what. My answer to all would be in a nice tone. I understand you want to do something else that day. I worked so hard to book this trip a year in advance and this is the only thing I wanted to do.It is my Christmas present to myself"

Then turn and go. If you golf with strangers you may meet some wonderful people. Heck most of us do not even know each other on this board or from TUG.

So do not let others agenda deter this T time, forgive them and do what is in your heart. Go Golf and enjoy the day. You'll feel better and just maybe some will contemplate they should have joined you. If not you will have no regrets.

Trip planners need to reward themselves too!
