  • When to start worrying about no response from ebay seller

Hi, Finally made a timeshare purchase on ebay. Auction closed 2 days ago and no response from seller. I have e-mailed him several times. Beginning to think it was too good of a deal and he is backing out. Time to worry? 14th Med

You have not sent any payment to the seller, right? You may want to verify the info before send any money to the closing company. Let the resort, the unit, the MF, the SA. You may want to get some info from the seller and call the resort.

It is on X'mas day. Chances are, the seller is still merry, so it will be slow. If the seller sell a lot of TS, he will not want to pay the MF for next year, so you will be fine. If (s)he is 1st time seller, they maybe the owner, and could be on vacation. But they are also very likely don't want to pay 2007 MF.

Just wait a little longer. They should be more eagar to contact you. If not, consider there is something wrong in the property and be happy that you did not get trapped.

Good advice from Jya-Ning. I, too, had a similar experience and all ended well.
As I was waiting, I did due diligence in the meantime (as advised above) and found everything to be fine. Got a great stand alone cottage in St. Maarten (LaVista) for $900 from a super person.
If you do not hear back, there is some recourse for you through ebay's setttlement channels.
I hope you got a terrific deal.
      B.

Particularly over a holiday period, 2 days is far too soon to start worrying about no response from a seller. Even outside those times I have waited a week or more before the seller contacted me.

After next Tuesday, start thinking about it again. In the meantime, enjoy!
