  • What to do?

Was looking around on II and thought I would look into how exchanging works. I looked at a couple of trades and II asked me which week I wanted to exchange, 2007 or 2008. I was told my home resort was an EOY odd year when I purchased. Should I call westgate and double check or just keep quite. Kevin

II will check once you book the exchange, if your home resort d/n clear your week then II will cancel the exchange. So no funny business

II will have things all screwed up - at best

Oh - you are in for some real fun. Westgate AND II. Too of the most owner unfriendly groups on earth. Tell them you only have EOY. You won't get credit for a non-existent week but they will first most likely take your deposit and money and get things all screwed up including your actual use time - don't risk it. II never has anything right so it is up to you to keep it correct.

        No funny business....

I was sure it wouldn't work. I wouldn't even try to exchange a week I don't have. I'm still learning about all of this stuff. This site is a great learning tool for us new guys. Thanks to all of you for your helpful info.... Kevin

For some reason, II shows my EOY resort as an EY in my online account. However, I would not think of trying to exchange the year I don't own. As a previous poster said, they will verify your week with the resort.

If you purchased that EOY from a reseller, possibly they didn't know what they were selling. I would verify what I have. Maybe you got an every year while thinking you were purchasing and EOY.
