You will blame him for your purchase and you and the business will suffer. In the end, you will have a new job and still will be stuck with a worthless t/s. After you do all the math, it will prove to you that you made two big mistakes in your life. Have you asked yourself, wonder why the boss wants to get rid of the thing ? Maybe it is because he knows the real value. Tell him, no thanks and keep your job and the relationship you have with him and the company.
I keep thinking that there is more to this person than meets the eye. Like maybe it is someone we may already know and love just trying to get everybody going. Just a feeling, no real basis or anything.

I'm probably wrong, it's probably just a very bitter person.

1950 - what's UP????? You seem just a little bitter.....

To the OP - $1000 for a summer 2BR in Orlando is GREAT!
You will have many years of use and it should trade quite well, too.
      Congrats on a good deal.

That guy's comments really came out of left field, but no worries here about the purchase.

On another note, I did speak with Joyce @ Timeshare Transfer and am hoping that we can get the whole process started within the next couple of weeks. She was very informative and quite helpful.

        Thanks again!

Yes, I wonder too why 1950 is so bitter? We made some horrible mistakes too but we still enjoy timesharing and always look forward to our next trip.

If you bought at a nice resort, why didn't you try to correct what went wrong and enjoy it too? I don't know your story but it is history now so try to move on and you may even find a fantastic deal now you read how other people do it. They share a lot of good information here.

Did you ever post where you bought and how long ago? Just curious as you sound so bitter. The OP here made a good purchase according to some experts here and he will enjoy it. He and his boss are both happy now. It couldn't be better.

ArtsieAng should be able to comment about the "Sheraton" preference in trading with II - is this a 'member' of that network, Angela??

Sorry if you feel that some seem to be raining on your parade. I think that you are getting a very good price, and that you will enjoy your timeshare for many years to come.

As Pat has mentioned, if you decide to deposit your Timeshare into II, you will get the Sheraton Preference. This preference allows all Sheraton, and Westin owners availability to other Sheraton & Westin units before they become available to other members. This helps you to exchange, and upgrade into all Starwood properties.

If you have young children, and are planning on using your timeshare often, you will all have a blast at Disney. Most importantly, it will guarentee you a very nice vacation each year. Good luck to you, and let us know how things turn out.
                Angela

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

We really need some better icons around here - I was using to cheer you on 'Bad Girl!'
Because what you said was 'Oh so TRUE!!!!

Now if the OP had said "I am buying from my boss for $10,000" then we would have reacted in a totally different way.
