But Bing, the cost of the roof is built into the rate. My stepson and his wife had a B & B in Greenville, Maine (Moosehead Lake) but couldn't generate enough profit to keep it going. The off season will kill the hotel and B&B business unless they stick it to the in-season folks pretty hard. Somebody has to pay for the roof.

Well, it works for me. I don't feel I got stuck and as long as I feel the price is within reason of what I'm getting, I 'm OK with that. This just goes to show that there is more than one way to vacation. No one source has the answer for everyone. No business should feel thay have to " stick it " to anyone.

I prefer to have our own breakfast in our kitchen in our timeshare. And since we have kids whose appetites vary throughout the day it is nice to have the comforts of home away from home in our timeshare. And the off season rates are great as well as the in-season rates...as long as one learns to use the system in a basic way. And normally we can get great advise from the concierge at the timeshare resort. And in most places we don't get 'flooded' by people to buy something. And if someone does ask us we know how to make our own choices in our own time so no pressure there.
Someone/everyone pays for the roof no matter where you stay. It is all part of the bottom line no matter where you stay.

They usually are small and offer good local advise. Quite, nice."If a Nation expects to be ignorant and free in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be.... Also, if you have a rental today, you can post an advertisement here but you have to have posted at least 15 posts, I believe. Most of us want to help you but you have to help yourself too getting over your mistake. We bought in Mexico too from developers.
