  • Renting an exchanged VRI*ety (ORE) week?

Can one rent out a week exchanged thru VRI*ety (ORE) week.

I have a banked week with VRI*ety that will expire at the end of this year. Can I exchange a week and use it for rental? I cannot find any rule about this at their website and did not see anything about guest certificate.

Another option is to bank it with RIC or II. What is the process? I am a member of RCI and II but new to VRI*ety.

    TIA

Why don't you phone VRI directly and just ask about renting out your week. (They actually have a rental program where you can ask them to rent your week for many of their resorts.) Banking with RCI is straightforaward - you phone VRI and tell them you would like to bank the week. They have an in-house RCI banking person. With II, it can be a little more complicated if you don't own MROP. You phone II, tell them you have a week to bank, giving them the 3 letter code, your unit number and reservation number, and explain this is a VRI week so they know to phone VRI and not the resort directly. Several times they have had to put in my unit as an extra week. Make sure to check the resort you exchanged into is accepted by RCI or II first, though.

    Good luck.
