  • Buying on Ebay

I did a quick search, but this is easier way to get info.

I was at bluegreen this weekend and since we had a ten day op out, we bought more points. They let use what we had bought a few years ago and just tranfered the deed to our new location we bought this weekend. They sold us 6000 annual for 9600(with $8200 from earlier buy inluded)...I know, ouch. We will cancel, but I want your help.

I look at ebay and see 8000 annual points for about 1500 dollars, a no brainer. My question, If I did this, does this mean I have to pay 2 maintaince fees and 1 club due a year? For me, I am looking at 1100 plus dollars a year in fees??

Would it be wise to buy from ebay in the first place??? They say they are deeded properties.

Would it be wise to sell what I have (paid for) cheap to get rid of it and the $394 fee, and just use the new points I buy on ebay? 8000 annual seem like enough for now. We are 29 without kids and we have not had a problem yet with the points we have 8000 biannual, but could use more.

If I did buy on ebay, how easy of a transition is it?

How easy is it to cancel what I bought this weekend at BG once I send them a letter?

    Thanks for your fast replies...

I don't own bluegreen, so can not help you on other BG's question. However, I will send you a Private Message, check the right top of the forum

I believe most of company cancel is a smooth process, just follow their contract and send your cancel letter with US postal certified mail.

As to buy from eBay, it usually is a smooth ride, and usually you got exact the same as you buy from developer. There are some perk that you will only get from developer purchase, but most of them does not worth the price differnce.

You need to determine your max price you want to pay when you buy from eBay. A lot of time, eBay ad is not as accurate as it should be, so you need to ask the seller to give you the contract number when you won, and check with the resort to make sure you get the right thing. If not, don't pay.

Check with the closing company's reputation, if you send money to the closing company. Otherwise, you have to look at the seller's feedback, and do a judgemental guess.

Before you enter any bid, you may want to call resort to verify the MF, if the ad has unit number, verify the view of the unit number, the size of the unit.

    But eBay is very smooth.
