  • ResortQuest question

Who, if anyone, does this company exchange through?

  • #2
ResortQuest is a property management company which handles rentals in resort locations. So they will often have TS listed for rent.

I don't think they handle exchanges

They say they don't rent out TS but they list Lake Placid Lodge in Whistler which is a TS resort.

ResortQuest employs more than 4,000 people and is owned and operated by Gaylord Entertainment Co. No Timeshares – Exclusively Owned & Managed Properties Only
ResortQuest does not offer timeshares; all of our properties are individually owned. In addition, ResortQuest manages units exclusively, so there’s never more than one owner or property management company to deal with.

A One-Stop Shop for Vacation Rentals
No other property management brand offers the breadth and depth of inventory in one place. We have more than 13,000 beach properties (including the Florida and Eastern region, and Hawaii) and approximately 3,700 ski properties.

      Standard Quality Ratings

      EVP (Exclusive Vacation Property)
      Platinum Rating
      Gold Rating
      Silver Rating
      Bronze Rating

Our quality ratings are conducted internally by ResortQuest employees, not by homeowners. In the vacation rental industry, each unit has its own décor, and thus the quality of interior can differ greatly (e.g., Flat-screen TV, upgraded bedding, and leather couches vs. standard couch, 32 inch tube-TV, and standard bedding). This is another benefit to consumers at ResortQuest because we provide a way to compare the quality of one unit to another using our Ratings standards. We rate each unit as they enter our program by visiting the unit and conducting an audit of the interior.

Lake Placid is not 100% timeshare. As with many of the buildings in Whistler that are TS, Lake Placid is a mix of timeshare and whole ownership.

When I go to some Whistler rental sites, I can see Lake Placid Lodge rentals that are clearly whole ownership units.

“This is a blouse and skirt. I don't know what you're talking about.”
