  • Anyone purchased from Vacation Register?

I am new to timeshare and today I found a website called Vacation Register Timeshares - Vacation Register International - VRI Timeshares selling resale Timeshare. Has anyone used them?

Well, I'm in the embarrassing postion of answering my own post. Mind you it has taken me about 6 weeks to work the answer out.

I sent numerous emails to this company asking for information on a timeshare they had listed for sale. No response. On several occasions it came up with a HTTP 500 Internal Server Error so I sent an email to the company to report it. No response.

I think this company takes money from people to list their timeshares for sale (there are hundreds listed) then make no attempt to sell them.

Yes, this is a frequent thread on Forums and on TUG.

A few people did buy weeks from them, but some tried and tried and could get no response from the company. Ed McMahon should be contacted and should go on all the national television shows and denounce the company. He won't do that. But he should! Maybe if we start a letter writing campaign to him, asking him to take his name and picture off the site.
Timeshare crimes come in some pretty fancy packaging.

The crimes are aimed at people who are desperate to sell their timeshares, the very same people who cannot afford the high fees. What a way to make a living! Conmen are all over the timeshare business, starting at the presentation table.

I bought a timeshare through Vacation Register about 3 years ago. I believe the seller likely paid them an upfront fee to list it. I found them to be pretty responsive as they served as middleman in communications between the seller and myself - but again that was about 3 years ago. They had Resort Closings in Bozeman, MT handle the closing. I don't know whether Vacation Register was affiliated in any way with Resort Closings.
