  • Is TS4MS Classified NOT accepting new ads?

A couple of weeks ago I relisted my ad - edited the ad - approved the ad with 33.3333333seconds to go before it closed the editing and I proofed the result. A week later I went to check how many people had VIEWED the ad and could not find it.

I entered a trouble ticket early last week but cannot get a response.

I decided to start over but when I entered the For Sale area of the Classified Ads, I was notified that New Ads were NOT being accepted.

Am I going bonkers or what? As the smiling man on the refinance ads on TV said, "Would someone please help me?"

Welcome to our classifieds section. Here you can post ads for sale, buy from users who have already done so, etc. Not sure if you trust a user? Simply look up their profile. Can't access a certain category? Maybe it's time to upgrade to one of our premier accounts! Feel free to post new ads and have fun.

You need to click the category drop down menu and pick the SUB CATEGORY that you want your ad to be placed. The MAIN category where you land DOES NOT allow ads! All ads need to be added to a secondary category (Pick from the drop down list).

Now, fwiw, you trouble tickets were replied to... you replied after we told you what to do?

The new classifieds system is NOT the same as what was here... What you did in February to relist was to relist in the OLD SYSTEM that has been removed from the site. You were given credits for any ads you had listed when the new system was started and I posted over a 2-month period that members needed to move ads to the new system.

So, YES, you MUST relist in the new system. The NEW SYSTEM does not use the same database and the new system is extremely different then the old systems so there is no way the listings coould be transfered.

HOW COULD I RELIST IN A SYSTEM THAT WAS REMOVED? UP UNTIL I WENT ON VACATION ON 2-1-07, I WAS ON TS4MS DAILY AND NEVER READ ANYTHING ABOUT THE NEW CLASSIFIEDS. I WAS NEVER SENT AN EMAIL. WHERE WAS THE LINK BELOW LISTED?

I AM NOT TRYING TO BE DIFFICULT BUT I WOULD VENTURE A GUESS THAT OTHERS HAVE ENCOUNTERED THE SAME PROBLEMS. IF I DIDN'T RESPECT YOUR WORK, I WOULD NEVER HAVE SENT THE DONATION AND "HEAR! HEAR!" THREAD AT CHRISTMAS. THIS FORUM, AND THE PROGRAMING, IS FAR SUPERIOR TO TUG AND I ADVERTISE IT AS SUCH TO MY CLIENTS.

I PARTICULARLY APPRECIATE YOU AND THE GODFATHER WHO IS RULING OVER HIS DOMAIN WITHOUT HIS CIGAR SHOWING IN HIS AVATAR.[/COLOR]

I am still working on improvements to the classifieds so I am always open to suggestions. It is just often easier to say something needs to be improved then it is to give a suggestion on how it should be improved.

I really do welcome suggestions but that classified script has become extremely complicated...
