    Hi,
How are you doing today ? I will be willing to pay the asking price.I accept your offer. I did not mention to you that I am currently away on honeymoon as I just got married. I however got in touch with one of my clients who owes me an amount and asked him if he could issue the payment to you and he agreed. In this regards, I am hoping that you will let me know the name in which check is to be made out in, the address it is to be mailed to and a
phone number where you could be easily reached.
When I have these infos, I will contact my client and have him make funds available to you in hope that immediately you receive the funds, you will notify me

I hope to hear from you soon.

    Thanks and God bless.

So what do you think...my response is that I will wait until they return or else they can pay me via PayPal.....

Standard scam. The check they will want to issue will be for more than the price, and request that you send them back the difference. Any time they mention and agent of client, you know it is bogus. Who actually does business that way? I wouldn't waste any more time on it. When you become firm with the PayPal requirement, they will move on and you won't hear from them again.

LOL....apparently this couple has been VERY busy while honeymooning - I have seen several other posts regarding them.

      From: Louis and Cameron [mailto:louis.cameron@yahoo.com]

And there wasn't even any dead relatives in Nigeria involved.

They really seemed kinda normal in the first few emails - ya never know.
TUG ads draw all the crazies...it is the only place that generates so much spam/scams

Yes, they're talking about this one over on TUG. The first two or so did seem convincing, though. Sorry!

I get these periodically. I always respond by asking for the specific property they are interested in; that usually takes care of it.

I really hate how these scammers write "God bless" as thought that's going to help you trust them or something. Why don't you report them to the website where your rental ad is posted?

                Pat,
If it's sent from Nigeria, you can trust them. Those nice people want to pay you more ! They'll even send you a check for thousands above & beyond. Isn't that the nicest thing ever ? God bless them !!

This is why Redweek.com charges you for writing an email to the seller or renter. Not a bad idea after all. Scammers won't pay any money to scam you. It would add up fast------------------------- with all the emails they send out to so many people.

Taffy was helping me typing here with -----------------. This cat won't leave me alone for a minute but I love it so I am not complaining. In human years, he is 84 years old so we enjoy every day we still have with him.

This particular scammer includes the rental property name, date and price in the subject line. That's what got me.
