Barnestable County, MA deed - Fast Closing

FYI - I received the deed for a Cape Cod TS I bought on ebay on January 25 - I paid for it on Feb 1 .....the original owners signed the new deed on 2/14 and the Town Land Court Registry recorded it on 2/22/07 - mailed to me 3/22/07.

So this really was a FAST turn around...bought from Holiday Group - closing by their own fast, comunicative and efficient Holiday Transfer services.

I've had recent experience with Holiday too. I like them and think they're very efficient and professional. The weeks I bought were via their website, and though it wasn't ebay, their frequent website sales are excellent.

I also bought from Holiday group and didn't have any problems either transaction. The turn around time was about the same.

I bought from an individual and it took about 6 months to get my physical deed from Barnstable. Holiday Group must know how to push thru the paper work.

It's a heart-warming story, Pat. I'm just trying to stay calm about mine. I'm trying not to email the seller more than once a month. Did somebody have a way to contact the Barnstable office and see how a deed is progressing?

That was me.

Barnstable County Registry of Deeds - Land recording office.

They did fax a copy for me about 6 weeks prior to getting the actual deed in the mail.

So, Lawren, I search by my own last name each day and just watch for the new deed to come up? I can't call them and say, "Did my seller actually send the paperwork to you or are they scamming me?" Can I?

Barn people are stable people.

A lot of the cape cod resorts/deeds go thru the Barnstable county office.
