Someone contacted me to purchase one of my units. They do not want to use an escrow company and want to do the deed transfer themselves. I have only done this once when I bought a timeshare from a tugger who came with good recommendations from another tugger I trusted.
If you were to sell a timeshare without escrow, how would you go about ensuring that you got paid?? My thought was that if the person was willing to pay upfront and then deal with getting the deed transferred, I couldn't not get my money. I can't think of any other way to make sure I would get paid.
Has anyone ever heard of not going through escrow with someone they didn't know?
