How low can they go? Ebay sellers are really selling cheaper than ever.

    Joe,

I agree. I remember looking at FF points on ebay last summer and even many of the ones with higher MFs were getting about $.02 per point (at least that's what I remember). I started looking again a few months ago and it did seem to me that the prices have gone down. But who knows, as summer nears, demand may increase and the buyers may come out of the woodwork. I still think though that even now higher demand locations and points with low MFs are sometimes going for close to $.02 or more - no scientific method here, just some observations.

Re: >> Someone on TUG said something about how everyone knows about ebay for buying timeshare.....He said most people know and only a small percentage don't. I would bet only 10% of people, or even less, know about ebay for timeshare. <<

Hello. To your likely surprise, I AM the "someone" you've misquoted above. What I said (and all I said) was "Who outside of the third world doesn't know about eBay?" I am glad though, that you've now only "bet" I'm wrong ---on TUG you "guaranteed" it......

Theo, I guarantee everyone does not know that you can buy timeshare on ebay.

I guess it is kinda strange that timeshares have a seasonal pricing effect. People must go on vacations, see or stay at a timeshare and then go and buy one on ebay.

Talking about who knows or doesn't know about resale, almost everybody I talk to about buying a timeshare resale is completely shocked that you buy them on ebay!

Here are two that sold on Ebay today - - I was a watcher but not a bidder:

$ 7.00 FF Ft. Lauderdale at Sea Gardens EOY 2-BR Week 33

$11.50 Long Beach Club, Barbados 1-BR Week 27

Well, the FF Sea Garden had a MF of $800 per week of usage ($400 annual for an EOY week.) So, that's a reason for it not to sell for much.

The Barbados week had closing fees of $398, so it really sold for more like $400. Also, I'm not sure Barbados is popular in summer.

So, these were cheap, but I don't think I would have considered them good deals.
