No one posed any questions here for me to ask. Her presentation was as 'vanilla' as her book. If you've read it and frequented these boards enough, you'll know the problems. If you've read it, you've done more than most of the people on these boards. If you think Orlando is the place to buy because it is the most demanded location and if you think Red=Red then you won't have any problem with her book. I found the book to be extremely hard to read/follow, maybe that's just the nature of Dummies books/fomatting, or maybe I know too much to be an objective reader of a book for 'dummies.'

    1. Would you care to share a summary or characterization of your meeting?

    2. I've read her 2005 "Dummies" book. In my personal opinion, it is incomplete and very superficial in many areas (but who asked for my opinion, anyhow?).
What I DO wonder about is the claim by some folks (here on TS4MS and elsewhere) that there is information in her book which is "wrong". Seldom (if ever) do these claims actually identify what content is "wrong". Can anyone who believes this claim of "wrong" information in the Schreier book identify, with some specificity, particular topics or areas in which the book content is "wrong"?

This is certainly NOT an effort to defend Ms. Schreier or her book ---I have no reason (or any interest) to do so. She is a salesperson (enough said there) and, in my personal opinion, an opportunist. Yet, information is knowledge and I don't find it particularly illuminating, helpful, or educational to see claims of "...she's wrong" without any identification of what she is allegedly wrong about! She might very well be dead wrong, but on what subject? in what statement(s)? where? when? This inquiring mind wants to learn the important difference between challenging statements and claims of facts vs. mere sour grapes "grousing". Can you help me learn the difference in specific regard to Ms. Schreier's book content?

If I thought either of those things, I'd have myself voluntarily committed.

Layout aside, I found actual coverage of most topics to be so superficial that it would seem to be difficult for her to be factually incorrect. I guess this is why I'm seeking out clarification on what is reportedly "wrong" therein. To me, the topic coverage is so very shallow that it would be difficult for her to be "wrong". How "wrong" can you be if you haven't actually said anything of substance in the first place???
