  • Anybody have any recent experience with Holiday Systems International (HSI)

As part of a timeshare presentation at Velas Vallarta they tried to sell us on the benefits of HSI. They claimed we could get any resort for between $100 to $800 and any hotel room for $80 per night. I didn't believe the salesperson and did not buy. I am wondering if anybody has any experience with HSI. Thanks.

I have no direct experience with HSI. Are they a legitimate company? Depends on if you believe 'any resort for between $100 to $800' and 'any resort available for between $100 to $800,' mean the same thing.n In 9 years on the TS BBSs, I've not seen positive responses to your question.

I've heard it in a pitch as well, but don't believe it's worthwhile.

        Thread Moved

I've moved this thread to the General Timeshare Discussions from Timeshare Travel and Deals to allow discussion of HSI. - Jacki

          have had direct experience

don't feel it is worthwhile. we were never able to go anywhere we wanted to go. this was sold to us as part of a big sales pitch. HSI properties were also not of the quality that I was accustomed to.

Velas Vallarta and HSI are not one in the same. HSI has, in fact, severed relationships with several Mexican resorts because of mis-selling. I have met Mr. HSI and have toured their home offices. I am not a member, but was favorably impressed with what I saw. They are a legitimate travel club and have claimed to be the third largest exchange company if my memory serves me correctly. They have request first and when I asked how they do that, it was pretty neat. They have bought their own inventory in places like Maui and 'seed' the bank with things like that.
