Has anyone used Timeshare Transfer Inc. out of Vero Beach, Florida?

Concerns an ebay purchase at Suntera Bent Creek in Gatlinburg, TN.

What should I expect as far as steps and timeframe, from the time Timeshare Transfer receives the funds and signed notarized deed?

Does anyone know if Gatlinburg, TN Courthouse is fast or slow to process timeshare deeds?

Has anyone ever paid the additional $25.00 and did it actually speed up the process?

I first contacted Timeshare Transfer immediately after the ebay auction ended and they responded almost immediately, saying they would put a rush on it since it is a 2007 usage and resort will not assign a week until they receive the paperwork.

Per the seller – Vacation Solutions, Timeshare Transfer Inc. received the signed and notarized deed about 7 days ago via FedEx.

They sent me a letter acknowledging full receipt of funds, asking if I wanted “Overnight or walk-in recording = quicker resort notification” for an additional $25.00.

Although they said they would put a rush on it, I sent them a $25.00 Postal Money order and they received it yesterday, Monday, April 7, 2007 per USPS.

I sent them an email on Thursday of last week asking if they could fax me a copy of the signed deed and again on Monday confirming my having send in the $25.00 for the overnight / walk-in recording and again asked for a faxed copy of the signed deed. Still awaiting a response from them to confirm.

    Thanks

We won an auction 2/26, and received the deed yesterday (5/7). Ten weeks may seem slow compared to others, but this was slightly less time than the time line they originally provided to me & the buyer. I'm satisfied
Give me a place with 4 S's: Sun, sand, surf, & suds-Dale (from Illinois)

That is the only part of what you said that I find odd.
I just did 3 closings of ebay purchases with 2 different closing companies...and they both made 2007 & in one case Easter 2008 reservations in the name of the OTHER owner - that was then changed to my name when the ownership was transfered.
My Caribbean Closing took the longest at 10 weeks, Florida took 8 weeks and Cape Cod took 5-6 weeks.
I will have to cheek the company that did the closing.

I have used Timeshare Transfer on a number of different occasions over the past few years, as both buyer and seller. Timeshare closings is really all that they do and they do it reasonably well. That said, however, I'll still offer a few words of caution and advice:

        1. Review carefully prepared deed drafts for accuracy. On more than one occasion, I have had to correct misspellings, and/or omission of "Jr.", etc.
On one other occasion, new original deed was sent to the wrong party after recording (which is no big deal -- once recorded, only the info therein really matters, not who possesses the original document itself).

        2. They have pretty consistently maintained (and they do so openly and in writing) that they cannot and will not fulfill "rush jobs". This is a perfectly understandable position, since they have absolutely no control or influence over things like the speed at which resorts issue estoppel letters, sellers provide them with existing deed copy, etc. In short, your need for "quick" generally will not trump their need for "complete".

I believe from my own experience that you can generally have confidence in their competency, but you must still diligently monitor document accuracy --and I don't recommend expecting any timetable miracles, regardless of any sense of urgency on your part.

        Good luck, enjoy.

We have also used Timeshare Transfer and have had great experiences with them. However, we have one in escrow right now that we paid for in full a month ago and have not heard a thing. They are insisting that PAHIO still exercises ROFR. That is not the case at all, as they don't exercise their right since becoming Wyndham, not that they had the right on any contracts before July of 2005, but they stopped some sales from happening with that baloney.

The resort is who told me I would need to have the timeshare in my name first.

Perhaps I screwed up by telling the resort, I was dealing with a Timeshare resale company and not the owners. I also told them it appears as if an attorney has Power of Attorney for the owners?
