Advice on selling or giving away timeshares

Hello All

Thinking about selling or giving away three of our timeshares.

Looking for advice and or info on selling or giving away three (3) of our timeshares. Of course buyer would pay for any fee's associated.


Mariner's Point, Crossville, TN studio week 35 -usually Labor Day week. The 2007 week has been used - 2008 week is in my spacebanked with RCI. Maintenance fee's for 2008 were about $340.00.

Sudwala 1 bedroom 610H01 week 1. The 2007 week has been used - 2008 week is in my spacebanked with RCI. 2008 Maintenance fee's about $250.00

Sudwala 1 bedroom 605M13 week 34 - Both 2007 and 2008 weeks are in my spacebank with RCI. 2008 Maintenance fee's about $250.00

I know ebay is one option.

If I give away, would rather do so here or perhaps OT.

I just recently purchased a couple of weeks and thinking about a restructure of what and where we own.

You might just get something for them on Ebay. If you decide to give them away, do it here under the community forums and the "freebies" forum. I don't think they would last long.

I wouldn't think of selling them now. You have nothing to sell because you have already used both the 2007 & 2008 weeks.

IMHO, you could sell them in summer of 2008 so people could begin use in 2009.

The OP could transfer the banked weeks to the new owner by paying a fee to RCI. I'm not sure that many Americans would have any use for the South Africa weeks apart from RCI trading, anyway.

Transfer of the South African weeks could take months, so I wouldn't wait too long before disposing of them.
