November in Florida can be iffy. I would say "the further south the better." Key West would be great, but difficult. Southwestern Florida, on the gulf, including Sanibel/Captiva and Marco Island, Naples, etc. might be nice, but the "locals" will jump in soon with resort specifics (and likely differing opinions ).

I'd still take Hawaii over Florida in a heartbeat, unless travel time/cost was a factor....

For sure Hawaii if all else is equal. If Florida, I had the best time ever going to Disney World in November. Perfect weather all week.

      You're a great boss.

I second Hawaii if possible ~ anywhere, any island would be great. If Florida, when we went in November ~ weather was just perfect. We were at The Beach Club in St. Augustine. Beautiful resort ~ friendly helpful staff. Whatever you decide, she'll have a great time. Kudos to you for being so nice.

BTW ~ We were in FL the 2nd full wk in Nov., about the same for Hawaii

          Hawaii Maui

A few years ago we did Kahana Falls in Maui. Lots to do close by and if you dont mind a long drive the road to Hana would be fun ( not for those who might get car sick). Te resort was clean and staff friendly and location right.

Assumptions: We are talking RCI. We are talking November 8,9,10 of this year.

If Florida is in then the caribbean should also be in <assuming passports>. We have vacationed many times between mid-October and end-November and have always had excellent weather. Fares are low as it is shoulder season and availability should be OK. ( I see studio units on Barbados, St Thomas, St Maarten, & Aruba) all of which have a lot to see and do.

If Florida then I echo Glitter. The further south the better. It was pretty cool in Orlando when we were there a few years ago Thanksgiving week. makes the parks fine if she is "into" that. SW Florida, SE Florida and Keys. < If you can see South Beach with points that might be a good choice. There is plenty to do>. I'm not seeing anything all that delightful or desireable on-line at the moment for Florida.

If we are talking Orlando there are some nice places to get her, Cypress Pointe and HGVC I-Drive.

Only seeing one Oahu resort at the moment on RCI. Doesn't mean you won't see something in points or Last minute

Be aware that the 16, 17, 18 of November is the American Thanksgiving week so I do hope we are talking the week before....

I would cast my vote for Hawaii. Although the overnight flight back is a killer, it still feels like a wonderful departure from everyday reality. (As an added bonus - the walk to the WestJet departure gate in Vancouver gives you sufficient exercise for the entire week - and since the only restaurant is a Tim Hortons that routinely runs out of sandwiches and soups, its a great weight loss plan as well!)
For a friend's 40th many years ago, I surprised her with a weekend trip from Calgary to Waikiki. It was frantic, but still worth it.
I think that if you are patient you will get a Hawaii timeshare, likely on Kauai. Even if you are not able to get your first choice of resort, you might be able to do a switch with something showing up in Last Call.
              Good luck!

                Hawaii

Yup, Hawaii is great. So is Mexico. All depends what you are looking for. Mexico great for ai and staying near resort. Hawaii is great for a more us experience- Maui a bit crowded but beautiful beaches, Oahu is great in its own right- Busy Honolulu and fun and then the other side is surfers paradise ( or is that Austraia), Kauai is more quiet(my style) and very divers climate. South is hot and very little rain and north Princeville is wetter and cooler. Hope that helps.

The ideal dates would be the 10th to 17th. I can use all the exchanges companies although RCI would be best as I have the most deposits with them.

By South Beach, I assume you mean HGVC at South Beach? I did check via Points but didn't anything.

I think it will be Hawaii as she seemed to be leaning that way. I'm away on business this week so everything will have to go on hold.

My vote would be Hawaii, too. I can't think of a better vacation than a trip to Maui, or any of the islands for that matter.

The following website provides historical data for weather on Maui:

Just click on the historical data in the upper left-hand corner.

What a nice thing for you to do!

How did So Cal get droped from the list???

I'm not sure how So Cal got dropped from the list... Have you looked into airfares? I have never been to FL (living in Nor Cal myself). I would love HI (been several times) and always, always, coastal So Cal (things to do, weather, ec.). And especially, AIRFARE... I know you wrote you had a good idea of Hi resorts, for others, (even though I own in Kauai, Princevelle and I love it), it is too wet from Nov to Feb. I would go elsewhere in HI.

                      Fun to think about....
